Winter Activities in Snowdonia

There’s so many things to do in Snowdonia, so much so that it is generally considered an evergreen region. There’s so many attractions and activities that remain open throughout the year that a number of holiday parks with caravans for sale in Snowdonia are also open all year around, providing excellent places to stay for each and every type of visitor.

Ogwen Bank is a spectacular example of the amount of luxury which can be had in your Snowdonia stay – their beautiful park is acres and acres of woodland, with a decent amount of luxury lodges and caravans which have all the comforts of home. Some caravans and lodges for sale in Snowdonia are really something special!

When you book your winter break, look for a holiday park in Snowdonia which is well placed, allowing you to experience a wealth of adventures in Snowdonia and the surrounding region without wasting the whole day in transit. There are so many things to see and do, even in wintertime, that you might want to prioritise your list a little!

For instance, those who travel as a family and seek all-inclusive fun would be well served to take advantage of facilities such as the (amazing) Glasfryn Parc Activity and Adventure Centre, which is very close to the town of Pwllheli. With go-karts, quad bikes, archery, fishing, and so very much more, we’re certain that all members of the family will love their time here.
Should you have younger children, you’re more than welcome at Greenwood Forest Park. This park has been voted the Best Family Attraction in North Wales for six years running, and it’s really not difficult to see why.

2017 is the Year of Adventure, and for those seeking a little bit of adventure on their holiday, there’s the King Arthur’s Labyrinth, in Corris. This one is a little off the beaten track, but it’s so very worth it. You’ll be guided throughout by a Dark Age Boatman through caverns and winding tunnels, and learn all about the Dragons and (of course) the legendary King Arthur. Absolutely unmissable!

For indoor adventures, of course there’s The Fun Centre in Caernarfon. A hop, skip and a jump away from Snowdonia National Park, the Fun Centre is the perfect place to leave the kids (with at least one supervising adult, of course!) and experience the beautiful town of Caernarfon solo.
